CONSTABLE

 

One of my all-time favourite paintings is the Hay Wain (1821) by John Constable.

I grew up with a large replica hanging above the family fireplace – a replica which I used to study often as I got taller to look at it. The painting (which as I write is my current desktop wallpaper) has aged well over the last 190 years, and to this day I still admire its depth and detailed depiction of the Suffolk landscape.

COMMITMENT

August 4th 1998 was a day I'll never forget. The day I got a brand new bible bought for me by American evangelist Arron Jayne. The book itself has seen many signings, traveled with me and has a Mario Bros Spiney graphic molded onto the back.

I've since purchased a newer bible as of last week, but this copy still has pride of place at home and away.
