Just got this newspiece regarding Nativity 2, also confirmed by Doctor Who Magazine. Things are moving ahead for a very anticipated sequel to one of the best Christmas films of all time.

Today DavidTennant.com confirms David for NATIVITY! 2:

"Nativity 2
A few months back we reported on the possibility of David appearing in Nativity 2 for BBC Films. Well we can now confirm that David's next film project will be Nativity 2. Ian McNiece will play his character's father and filming is due to begin next week, although it's not known when David will be starting on set.
